You Are Eggstra Special!

Hello Crafty Friends!  Debbie here today to share with you my first Easter card.  Easter is really early this year so I have started creating my cards early, too.  I really love coloring with the Nuvo Marker Pens.  These alcohol markers blend so well and fit in my hand nicely.  I used some of the pens to color the chick and eggs for this cute Easter card.

Here are some of the supplies I used:

To begin, stamp the chick & egg images onto white cardstock with black ink.  Color with the markers.  Fussy cut each image and set them aside.

Die cut the patterned paper using the largest scalloped rectangle in the Mixed Edge Rectangle die set.  Die cut the pink and white cardstock using the dies from the Hello ATC Die.  Stamp the sentiment onto the white die cut using the Stamp Platform.

Assemble the card using 3d foam tape to give some dimension.  Here is the finished card again.

Sending Holiday Cheer

While it is not quite Thanksgiving, now is the perfect time to start making all those Christmas cards you send to your family and friends.  Mass production of cards can be intimidating but with a few tips and tools, you can crank out those cards and have some fun, too!

Gather all your supplies and sketch out your card design.  To begin, cut all the cardstock and bases for the cards.  It also is a good idea to score the bases so that they are ready to fold when you are assembling them.   Then die cut all the pieces of paper and cardstock.  Using the assembly-line approach really helps to streamline the process.

Once all the paper is die cut, it’s time to stamp!  Using the stamp platform is the easiest and fastest way to stamp the sentiment.  It helps with perfect alignment plus if you don’t get a clean image the first time, you can stamp it again.

Now it is time to start assembling the cards.   Keeping a special pair of snips that are just to cut ribbon is important because the snips always stay sharp.  Here a piece of ribbon is used on the handle of the snips to indicate they are just for ribbon.

After assembling the cards, it’s time to add the Nuvo Glitter drops for the final touch.  Be sure you have plenty of space to put the finished cards out for the drops to dry a bit.

This stack of cards were fast and fun to create.  Having a nice stack of cards waiting for their addresses is a great way to start the Christmas season!
